PAST:
Gymnastics was a huge part of my life... well it was my life... I did gymnastics for 12 years, 18 or more hours a week. The gym I worked out at was pretty much my second home. I may have even been at the gym more than I was at my own house. My daily schedule was going to school, going to practice, doing homework then going to bed. I did that every day 6 times a week. I barely had time to make friends I was so busy so outside of school, the only people I would hang out with were the girls from the gym because we were always all together. I don't regret any minute of it. I LOVED gymnastics. I loved my team, my coaches, the sport and even being as busy as a I was. I ended up quitting because the hours kept going up and school work was getting too difficult to finish. I realized that school was my number one priority. I also injured my back and it never ended up getting any better so after 12 years I realized it was time to give it up.
PRESENT:
Last year I had this job, so this year when i found out I got the job again I was so happy! My job is being a coach for a Pee Wee Soccer Team. Even though I don't play soccer I still love it! I always look forward to going to work because I enjoy spending time with the kids and I also get payed well! Having a job is a good thing for me because it keeps me busy for a little while. It keeps me busy, but its's also not too overwhelming so I have enough time for school work when I get home. It's really fun when I get to coach the 3-4 year old and then the next year coach them in the 4-5 year old class. You start to get attached to the kids you coach so it's fun to see them grow up, and get better at soccer. They're so goofy! Work really brightens my day.
FUTURE:
COLLEGE
In the future I plan to graduate from High School and attend college. Earlier in the year I had no idea really where I wanted to go, I didn't know whether I wanted to stay in state or go out of state so i was keeping my options open. Once I started doing more research I saw that schools in state had more options and programs for me! I want to study and major in Athletic Training when I go to college, and all three of the in state colleges that I am looking at have Athletic Training which is great! I cannot wait to go to college. It's going to be a great way to start over, meet new people, and learn new things in life!
